Basic research is something that is done in order to satisfy one’s eagerness to know about something and hence expand the knowledge. It is able to bring answers for the question like how, what, and when but it does not have a commercial value attached to it. Whereas on the other hand applied research is doing a research for a particular purpose in order to come for the solution or result of the problem and then apply it to solve the issue. Instead of hypothetical example I will give the recent research of COVID vaccine.
